Bananas Are A Good Step To Healthy Eating

It makes perfect sense that you can't take care of someone else if you can't take of yourself. So why is it so hard for people to make the right choices when it comes to things like health, exercise, and diet? We don't put water in our gas tanks when we know the manual tells us to fill up with unleaded fuel.

What We Didn't Know About Bananas

-The banana tree is a herb, and not actually a tree.
-Bananas are grown in the Tropics, but are native of Southeast Asia, the Malay Archipelago, and Australia
-The banana tree leaf is often used to wrap other food in, such as rice
-Bananas also come in red and purple! The red banana tree is a popular house and garden plant
-Bananas grow all year round and in bunches, but they're each bunch is made up of "hands"

We know that certain things aren't good for us, but we still find ways to fill our bodies with junk foods, drugs, and alcohol that we know aren't the right fuel for our bodies. Certainly if we are able to take of our bodies by making the right health decisions, the results will be apparent, and we'll all be better people for it.

One of the first steps to feeling better is to put the right food in your body. Sometimes it's better just to start off simple, and fill your kitchen with foods that are both healthy and easy to prepare, like fruits and vegetables.

One of the easiest is the banana, a fruit that can provide you a quick boost of energy (much better for you than a can of soda or a chocolate bar), as well as provide you with necessary vitamins and minerals. A raw banana take no preparation, as you don't need to cook it, heat it, boil it, or chop it up. You just peel and eat!

People often get into a rut when it comes to healthy eating, because it's either inconvenient or it takes too long. But if more people took the time to substitute a few healthier items instead of packing away the unhealthy "empty" calories that are provided by junk foods, they would find that they might have a little bit more fuel in their own tanks to help them get themselves motivated into more active lifestyles, that might include for healthy activities including regular exercises.
